Volcanos
Volcanos are area in Earths surface where magma and volcanic gases can pass through. Volcanos have two main types of eruptions, Nonexplosive and Explosive eruptions. Nonexplosive eruptions take place in the ocean and on earths surface. Nonexplosive eruptions are the most common type of eruptions and are usually a calm flow of lava. Nonexplosive eruptions release huge amounts of lava. Explosive eruptions are more rare but much more powerful. During an Explosive eruption huge clouds of hot ash, debris, and gases fly through the air. An explosive Eruption can be so powerful it can blow off an entire mountainside in an single explosion. The magma chamber is the most important part of the volcano. the magma chamber holds the magma where it is contained. when it has been released from the vent and is on earths surface it is now called lava. There are four main types of lava, Aa, Pahoehoe, pillow lava and blocky lava. Also during an Explosive Eruption, pyroclastic material is released. Pyroclastic material consist of Volcanic bombs, lapilli, volcanic ash, and volcanic blocks. there are also three different types of Volcanos, The shield volcano, The Cinder cone, and the composite.
